Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 20158 at Weemove Stadium today. Asko Lauta was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Raimundo Buendía and Teo Susanu. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for OM. They fielded: Morelle - Pupolin, Mortensen, Schorlemer - Beau, Dünser, Garcia, Bengtsson, Rogulja - Wagter, Vaccaro.

Duc tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination. The following players took the field: Buchert - McKenzie, Haren, Gargano - Pfäffli, D'Andrès, Veloso, Harand - 田辺 (Tanabe), Pupa, Rambocus.

Duc clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. OM's R. Bengtsson soared above the crowd, but couldn't knock the corner home 10 minutes into the match. The guests almost went up by a goal after 11 minutes when R. Harand came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though. Duc's D. McKenzie refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 13 minutes. OM were awarded a penalty after 14 minutes of play, but S. Vaccaro's shot skimmed just wide. Duc played a good counterattacking move down the left 15 minutes into the match, with T. Rambocus finishing well for 0 - 1. D. Rogulja of OM was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. 21 minutes into the match, OM's R. Bengtsson maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 1 - 1. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 38 minutes allowed T. Rambocus to score for Duc. The scoreboard now read 1 - 2. With 39 minutes played, Duc's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to D. McKenzie he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 1 - 3. 1 - 3 was the score after the first half. OM claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

The game was close to savage at times, and OM's D. Rogulja received a second yellow card after 53 minutes; his ticket out of the game. The home side worked their way through the middle and almost got one back when F. Garcia tried to sneak the ball past the keeper. K. Buchert was too alert for that! OM had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

OM's best player was F. Garcia. R. Bengtsson on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Duc player was without a doubt T. Rambocus. However, K. Buchert made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 3.
