Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of MAHB. joni saw most attack opportunities on the wings. The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when F. Bergeret was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 4 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead! After 26 minutes, MAHB sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached G. Bradinilis, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 1 - 0. MAHB's F. Toren was shown a yellow card after 27 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 28 minutes, joni did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, L. Torreira was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 1 - 1. A penalty was given after 30 minutes, allowing the visitors to gain the lead: 1 - 2. S. Moshamm was the scorer. joni's S. Moshamm left the field after 37 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was L. Cicarelli. There was concern in the stands when, at the 41 minute mark, joni's J. Combalia hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. It was 1 - 2 at the break. Possession was split evenly between the teams.

Players in joni heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. After 48 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed C. Ganoya to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 3. The home crowd was not impressed when V. Krag came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 58 minutes. joni were now up 1 - 4. After 60 minutes, joni were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. B. Light did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. The sun seemed to put M. Trebino in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long. joni increased their lead after 71 minutes when B. Light broke through on the right, upping the score to 1 - 5, much to the home crowd's dismay. Confident in their lead, joni's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by MAHB, with 52 percent of the ball.

Most important MAHB player was G. Bradinilis. D. Cheek on the other hand, had a terrible day. L. Torreira performed admirably for joni. B. Light turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 5.
