It had rained all day, but 57076 hardy fans still made it out to Dragons Lair. Bastian Regen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Isaías Padrão and Hagai Kaplan. Deeside started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Starters: Levan - Sava, Patzina, Halamish - Fremy, Vallverdú, Vīģelis, Maaskola, Ingersleben - Grossi, Tuomijoki.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for DavisFC. They fielded: Rostás - De Girolamo, Wielhouwer, Podda - Cabbarzadə, Campbell, Smith, Narberth, Latour - Quesada Carrión, Deckers.

Today, DavisFC's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. Thighs bulging, M. Quesada Carrión charged past the weaker players, seemingly oblivious to the rain. There was concern in the stands when, at the 20 minute mark, DavisFC's N. Rostás hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. They were singing the praises of J. Maaskola 25 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Deeside. The head of S. Grossi connected with a corner kick after 25 minutes, and the ball ended up with M. Patzina of Deeside who blasted the ball into the net, making the score 2 - 0. Deeside's M. Vallverdú had an excellent opportunity after 31 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! DavisFC's J. De Girolamo got himself booked for a foul. The player down was J. Vīģelis. The Deeside bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up. The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like K. Narberth. Deeside's J. Tuomijoki left the field after 37 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was E. Pajkert. It was a bad day for the usually speedy A. Halamish. The mud seemed to slow him down. 39 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as G. Sava broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for Deeside. By now, the players in Deeside felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. A bit later, DavisFC's E. Podda easily reduced the lead to 3 - 1 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence. 3 - 1 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Deeside, with 56 percent of the ball.

Deeside were given a gift! The ref dubiously awarded them a penalty 59 minutes into the match, which was neatly put away by J. Maaskola. 4 - 1 for the home side. D. Cabbarzadə nearly reduced the lead 60 minutes into the game, but a splendid one-handed save by B. Levan prevented the attempt coming in from the right flank from hitting the back of the net. After 73 minutes, Deeside's J. Maaskola found the back of the goal with a beautiful free kick. 5 - 1. By then J. Maaskola had scored three goals - a hat trick! Deeside managed to extend their lead to 6 - 1 when E. Pajkert cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. L. Fremy should probably have put his team up another goal after 83 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by N. Rostás kept the visitors in the game. With 86 minutes played, Deeside put themselves up 7 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to S. Grossi, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Deeside claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

The most dominating Deeside player was without a doubt S. Grossi. However, L. Fremy made a disastrous appearance. DavisFC's best player was M. Quesada Carrión. D. Cabbarzadə was a disappointment, however. The match ends 7 - 1.
