Durand was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. G. Briois replaced him. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. Compiégne enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

Following a foul after 75 minutes, Kurtix got themselves a free kick just outside the penalty area. A. Barrat levelled the scoreline - 2 - 2. G. Briois seemed highly inexperienced when, after 77 minutes, he was caught dilly-dallying with the ball and allowed J. Bertin to intercept and strike home the goal for Kurtix to make the score 3 - 2.
