Coming in from the right, wandg had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 24 minutes, but A. Oliveira's attempt to finish was easily stopped. After 26 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed L. Giannini to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 2. After this, you could see that the players of INBICTA were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. The home team's supporters got excited again when E. Fernandes broke through the visitors' central defence and caught their keeper off guard, making it 1 - 2. After 70 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as wandg found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to inadequate. A. Bernardo could have put his team up another goal 72 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. With 75 minutes played, the wandg coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. C. Adão came on, R. Abrantes had to leave the fray. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, wandg's E. Fernandes was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 75 minutes. A. Frīdrihsons was given a chance to change things around. Content with how the game was proceeding, the INBICTA coach let M. Hiironen replace G. Albuquerque after 80 minutes. While defending the INBICTA lead, V. Borralho got a new role. 81 minutes in the game, his coach ordered him to change positions with M. Hiironen. wandg's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 83 minutes gone, but A. Frīdrihsons's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. INBICTA's L. Giannini made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 87 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. With the clock showing 88 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of wandg resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by G. Câmara in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. After 89 minutes, wandg switched A. Projer with M. Bilro, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch.
