previous 2/10 next 4/10  Seixal 3 - 0 Angry (386243361)

26957 spectators had come to Seixaláxia this cloudy day. Léon Elzer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Walter Barnat and Mathias Bürgler. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Seixal. The following players took the field: Reimann - Altman, Caires, de Oliveira - Lechartier, Celedón, Pereira Coutinho, Romã, Amoriello - Pérez, Kopycki.

Angry had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Ferreira Costa - Bidal, Papadima, Bertoya - Bertrand, Pedersen, Noskowicz, Nunes, Deidda - Marcolini, Ramos Cervera.

After 18 minutes, D. Caires came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Seixal the lead. With 25 minutes played, Seixal put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to A. Amoriello, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. N. de Oliveira had a fantastic opportunity to put Seixal up another goal 33 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. The visitors got a chance to pulling one back after 36 minutes, due to a defensive blunder leaving A. Deidda completely unmarked. His strike was pathetic though, easy prey for the home side's keeper. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. Seixal had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

Seixal's R. Romã got himself booked for a foul. I. Pérez could have increased the lead after 62 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. L. Kopycki squirmed through their central defence after 72 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 0. The crowd roared its approval when R. Reimann somehow managed to block a shot which seemed to be a certain goal by Angry's G. Ramos Cervera 79 minutes into the game. P. Bertrand had a couple of good opportunities to reply, but the home team's keeper R. Reimann was simply unbeatable. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Seixal, with 51 percent of the ball.

Most important Seixal player was L. Kopycki. R. Reimann turned in a dismal performance, however. Angry's top performer was clearly D. Marcolini. A. Deidda was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 0.
