Dark skies made the crowd of 33927 at
Bota Abaixo Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off.

A mistake by the home side's central defence after 9 minutes allowed

Some fine movement on the left led to a Pum goal after 15 minutes, making it 0 - 2.

S. Muttilainen of BA FC received a yellow card after 20 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.

V. Dyrholm took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 36 minutes into the match. 0 - 3 for Pum.
Pum's
T. Stanomir got himself booked for a foul.
The referee signalled a penalty 38 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box.
P. Borges knocked it home to make the score 0 - 4.
By now, the players in Pum felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
Pum's
H. Ribeira was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 39 minutes.
0 - 4 was the score after the first half.
Pum had most of the ball, with 67 percent of possession.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
S. Canobio from BA FC a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 57 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
R. Narváez increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 5.
Unsportsmanlike behaviour by
H. Ribeira rendered him his second booking of the match, and Pum had to finish the game with a reduced squad.
V. Araújo received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 60 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 6. The Pum fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
Pum enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 67 percent of possession.
BA FC's top performer was clearly
D. Martini.
C. Mariano on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The most dominating Pum player was without a doubt
T. Stanomir.
G. Marchese was a disappointment, however.
