The crowd of 18526 turning up at RIBAS STADIUM today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Carlos Martín Talamas was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Knut Myhren and Vicente Lamas. RIBAS tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. They fielded: Rupán - Dietz, Çalkan, Campiglia, Zerach - Lénárd, Nicolau, Zese, Doulmajd - Crutzen, Faliński.

RIBAS mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. Rabixas clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. After 8 minutes, Rabixas put themselves up 0 - 1, as C. Armínio finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. 33 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as S. de Jesus finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. The home team's supporters got excited again when C. Zese broke through the visitors' central defence and caught their keeper off guard, making it 1 - 2. 1 - 2 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to RIBAS, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.

58 minutes into the game, Rabixas were awarded a penalty and O. Batlle y Ordoñez was able to increase the visitors' lead to 1 - 3 rolling the ball in by the right post. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave O. Osmachko from Rabixas a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 71 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! E. Nicolau of RIBAS was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. O. Crutzen had a hard time on the waterlogged pitch - his trademark technique was nowhere in sight today. Rabixas claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

The most dominating RIBAS player was without a doubt A. Faliński. On the other hand, A. Zerach's play was disheartening. Most important Rabixas player was L. Silva. O. Osmachko turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 3.
