Clouds darkened the skies at NOU CAMP IN FIRE as 33386 spectators turned up for the match. Winnie Keinke was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Otfried Pfersfelder and Florindo Cerri. Azes were close to putting the equaliser away after 8 minutes as the opposing defence lost control of the ball to R. Romand in a scuffle towards the left of the goal, but in the end the ball was cleared over the dead ball line. After 14 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and F. Cumplido gave the CRFPIMAS.PVZ supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 2 - 0. Confident in their lead, CRFPIMAS.PVZ's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. With 23 minutes played, D. Perchet of Azes fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. 2 - 0 was the halftime score.
