Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 13420 at Steakhouse Arena today. Ewoud van Groningen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Attila Petrecz and Slawomir Maslowski. DT Extreme started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Gligan - Urbansson, Semmrich, Duczmal, Jiménez Iniesta - Oksiński, Mcnair, Ilola, Pèdre - Pescio, Krog.

BullWolFox tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination. Lineup: Bahrani - Sunesson, Riris, Jacaszek - Ghiţă, Vieira, Oblačinskas, Bărbulescu - Blanco, Magyar, Jurubaíba.

The strategy for DT Extreme was to use their ability to press. BullWolFox clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. BullWolFox's P. Blanco managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 11 minutes. 0 - 1. It might be a while before the fans see BullWolFox's S. Jacaszek again, after he had to leave the field in great distress at the 21 minute mark. He was replaced by G. Pari. After 29 minutes, BullWolFox's C. Magyar burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2. BullWolFox had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. After 31 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave M. Sunesson a chance to increase the lead for BullWolFox, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 3. By now, the players in BullWolFox felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. R. Jurubaíba has acquired a talent for predicting the movements of the opposing defence over the years and this almost resulted in a goal 35 minutes into the match. C. Magyar increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 4. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave R. Oblačinskas from BullWolFox a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 39 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! M. Jiménez Iniesta of DT Extreme had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. T. Kurtela came in to finish the match. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 4. Possession in this half belonged to BullWolFox, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

DT Extreme pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times. DT Extreme's P. Urbansson left the field after 61 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was G. De Meyer. After 65 minutes BullWolFox's passing play almost managed to outwit the pressure from the defenders and find a shooting opportunity, but a last minute sliding tackle from a defender blocked the long shot. DT Extreme needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 70 minutes M. Pescio made way for S. Teglborg. When H. Ilola was badly injured by a couple of strong tackles after 79 minutes, DT Extreme fans were unhappy to discover that it was not possible to make a substitution. After the ball was lifted in from the left, R. Jurubaíba was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 80 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. A marvellous DT Extreme effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 81 minutes by H. Semmrich, making the score 1 - 4. BullWolFox players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. With 85 minutes played, C. Magyar nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. DT Extreme supporters cheered as good work down the right got the ball to T. Kurtela who reduced the visitors' lead after 86 minutes to 2 - 4. BullWolFox had most of the ball, with 61 percent of possession.

M. Krog performed admirably for DT Extreme. G. De Meyer was a disappointment, however. BullWolFox's top performer was clearly P. Blanco. However, R. Jurubaíba made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 4.
