Arruaçeiros used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. The wings were the focus of most of S.C.Montezêlo's attacks today. With 18 minutes played V. Guilmet almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. The referee signaled a penalty for the home side after 22 minutes, amid vocal protests from the visitors. Arruaçeiros fans erupted in celebration as P. Vizela rifled the ball into the the top corner. 1 - 0! A well-executed free kick by P. Vizela after 24 minutes made it 2 - 0 for Arruaçeiros. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. S.C.Montezêlo enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.

S.C.Montezêlo were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. S.C.Montezêlo's right side looked dangerous after 57 minutes, as T. Alapiha broke through. N. Lobo Prado continued to stifle them, however, as he made the save look easy. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Arruaçeiros's F. Kłósek increasing the lead to 3 - 0. J. Andrés Álvaro looked to be heading one way when he unexpectedly passed the ball to T. Blanchard. The move caught everyone off-guard, including his teammate, who panicked and kicked the ball out of play by accident. Arruaçeiros's I. Saraiva increased the lead to 4 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 73 minutes. Confident in their lead, Arruaçeiros's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. The referee showed S.C.Montezêlo's T. Alapiha the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. S.C.Montezêlo were desperate to get a goal back and pushed forward through the middle 82 minutes into the game. After a scramble in the box, the ball dropped to T. Alapiha, who smashed it home to make the score 4 - 1. Arruaçeiros's P. Vizela saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 87 minutes. Possession in this half belonged to S.C.Montezêlo, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.

The most dominating Arruaçeiros player was without a doubt I. Saraiva. V. Guilmet turned in a dismal performance, however. S.C.Montezêlo's top performer was clearly T. Alapiha. M. Salinas was a disappointment, however. The match ends 4 - 1.
