Loureenses 1 - 4 BolasAC
(386342542)

04-08-2012 21.45
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 21997 to
Inferno das Urmeiras.
Yakov Kolomenskiy was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Samuel Tallon and
Guy Wisselink.
Everyone was excited about the upcoming
Lisboa derby and the crowd was divided evenly.
Loureenses started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
Starters: Grijalva - Magnusson, Walter, Júnior - Funaki, Litwin, Aydar, Halau, Beverwijk - Erola, Ceneda.
BolasAC decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
They fielded: Tomek - Sousa, Silva, Calvo - Milewczyk, Coronel, Hatteland, Lansink, Verstraeten - Miranda, Prudêncio.
Loureenses decided to play creatively.
BolasAC used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings.
14 minutes into the match, a typically brave header by
K. Erola from
R. Funaki's cross looped just over the opposing goalkeeper's desperate reach. Goal for Loureenses, making the score 1 - 0.
H. Júnior always provides an aerial threat at corners, and with 18 minutes gone, he demonstrated this, outjumping his marker, then letting out an anguished howl as his powerful header went narrowly wide.
The visitors refused to give in and, after 19 minutes,
J. Sousa evened things up as he finished off a perfect pass from the right. 1 - 1
22 minutes into the game,
G. Prudêncio almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar.
As
K. Erola had, completely unprovoked, swept the legs out from under an opponent in front of a linesman, the referee gave the Loureenses player a red card without batting an eyelid.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
G. Beverwijk from Loureenses a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 30 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
The visiting
R. Miranda was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 34 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 1 - 2 was the score.
The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2.
BolasAC had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.
With 54 minutes played,
A. Milewczyk nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar.
With 60 minutes played, BolasAC's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to
R. Miranda he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 1 - 3.
With 73 minutes played, BolasAC put themselves up 1 - 4 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
R. Miranda.
That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for
R. Miranda.
Content with how the game was proceeding, the BolasAC coach let
P. Christiansson replace
A. Coronel after 75 minutes.
G. Prudêncio could have put his team up another goal 76 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post.
BolasAC claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.
Loureenses's best player was
F. Ceneda.
E. Grijalva turned in a dismal performance, however.
The most dominating BolasAC player was without a doubt
G. Prudêncio.
However,
W. Tomek made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 1 - 4.
