Clear skies welcomed the 32903 spectators who had made their way to SC Pabeca Arena. Robert Sarna was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mats Alexandersson and Giel Arentze. Pabeca decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Lineup: Oliveira Agostinho - Alves, Rosa, Strontsitskiy - Marinho, Marques Leal, Teixeira Rodrigues, Moura, Fonseca - Pereira, Sousa.

Selv@ had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. The following players took the field: Firmino - Isidro, Bilonog, Guerreschi, Machado - Vidal, Nogueira, de Sousa, Salvado, Carrasco - Blumer.

Selv@ seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. Selv@ took the lead after 22 minutes making the score 0 - 1. M. de Sousa placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. 29 minutes into the match, Pabeca's L. Marinho maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 1 - 1. Slack defending gave Pabeca a chance to take the lead with 33 minutes played, but E. Moura's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Pabeca enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.

Down the middle came D. Blumer, making a fantastic play that nearly had Selv@ take the lead after 59 minutes, but D. Oliveira Agostinho preserved the tie. A. Isidro looked like he could fly, as he rose high to head the ball. Unfortunately for Selv@, the ball went just barely wide. Pabeca had a chance to take the lead after M. Marques Leal's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 66 minutes. Pabeca claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

The most dominating Pabeca player was without a doubt S. Sousa. L. Marinho turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Selv@ player was B. Salvado. On the other hand, J. Firmino's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 1.
