It had rained all day, but 26399 hardy fans still made it out to
The New Cage.
Silvano De Lucia was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Thomas Vestermar and
Jan Purnell.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Kawasaki.
The following players took the field: 岡田 (Okada) - Lee, 渡辺 (Watanabe), 片山 (Katayama), Dynarski - Verhaagen, Frei, Brøgger Andersen, Blondet - Erdélyi, Mercier.

T. Mercier was uncomfortable with the soggy pitch as he couldn't move the ball around with his usual grace.
They were singing the praises of
E. Verhaagen 13 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Kawasaki.
A. Brøgger Andersen increased the lead for Kawasaki to 2 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
Kawasaki's
J. Frei struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 3 - 0 after 37 minutes.
J. Frei increased Kawasaki's lead to 4 - 0 with a penalty spot cannonball.
By now, the players in Kawasaki felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
One of many good crosses from
E. Verhaagen on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by
Á. Erdélyi, who scored for Kawasaki. 5 - 0

T. Mercier, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.

By then
J. Frei had scored three goals - a hat trick!
It was a bad day for the usually speedy
S. Lee. The mud seemed to slow him down.
After 70 minutes,
C. Dynarski put Kawasaki ahead 9 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.

一. 渡辺 (Watanabe) performed admirably for Kawasaki.
Y. Blondet on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Most important reonarudo player was
拓. 佐藤 (Sato).
