A scorching day at
Spartanx Park, where 53274 spectators were in place for today's match.
Wolff Zopper was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Rudi Urbanik and
Rodger Boggs.
SpartanxU started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
Starters: Dettore - Gurevich, Kwang Sze, Di Matteo - Dharakar, Su Wan, Tse Meng, Guo, Variamidis - Colosimo, Broadfield.
Se7en tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
They fielded: Munik - Jääskeläinen, Papalino, Morgado - Kwang Heng, Silva Augusto, Blackwood, Luca, Maaranen - Hanstedt, Pelikan.
Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of SpartanxU.
13 minutes into the game,
K. Kwang Heng had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide.
SpartanxU's counterattack was impressive and was only stopped by a shocking foul. Somehow, the referee's cards remained in his pocket - a terrible decision!
C. Tse Meng's resulting free kick was easily saved by the keeper.
S. Jääskeläinen came close to putting the visiting team one up 17 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but
F. Dettore managed to tip the ball to a corner.
The sun seemed to put
J. Silva Augusto in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long.
After 37 minutes, Se7en's
K. Kwang Heng made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1.

K. Kwang Heng to get in close and score another goal for Se7en after 38 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 2.
G. Morgado increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 3.

With 79 minutes played,
R. Maaranen nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar.

F. Colosimo's shot from the left sailed high over the bar.
