previous 6/10 next 8/10  Al-Daud 0 - 2 LFC (386961382)

12000 spectators arrived at Al-Daud Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Bastien Garde was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Franz Riedweg and Ron Holmes. All of Jurong was shut down for the day, as fans of both clubs came to the derby. Al-Daud had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: bin Mohd Idrus - bin Che Lah, Cheng Siong, 云邦 (Yunbang) , 祖祥 (Zuxiang) - Leong Xin, bin Othman, 静昆 (Jingkun), bin Jampaka - Yao Lai, 福宁 (Funing).

LFC decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. The following players took the field: Yeow Rong - bin Ali, Jian Yi, Kai Yip, bin Awang - Pui Yu, Kai Cheung, bin Ramli, Tze Tong - Ling Fong, 杏智 (Xingzhi).

Al-Daud made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left 庞. 静昆 (Jingkun) completely alone with keeper C. Yeow Rong, who made a spectacular block. LFC's counterattack was impressive and was only stopped by a shocking foul. Somehow, the referee's cards remained in his pocket - a terrible decision! M. bin Ali's resulting free kick was easily saved by the keeper. There was concern in the stands when, at the 34 minute mark, LFC's M. bin Ali hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. M. bin Mohd Idrus looked great 35 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' 宋. 杏智 (Xingzhi) . The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. LFC had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.

With 57 minutes played, W. bin Jampaka of Al-Daud fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. After 70 minutes, LFC's M. bin Ali made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. With 84 minutes played, 宋. 杏智 (Xingzhi) nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. 谢. 云邦 (Yunbang) of Al-Daud received a yellow card after 85 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After 86 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed Z. Ling Fong to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 2. LFC enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 67 percent of possession.

孔. 祖祥 (Zuxiang) performed admirably for Al-Daud. M. bin Mohd Idrus was a disappointment, however. LFC's best player was 宋. 杏智 (Xingzhi) . C. Yeow Rong turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 2.
