Clear skies welcomed the 55200 spectators who had made their way to
Anzac Park.
Alexander Straßburg was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
René Machiels and
Ronny Knijnenburg.
Warrack tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.

AEK immediately set off using their skill at pressing their opponents.
Warrack took the lead 5 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as
M. Bennett elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar.
The pressing tactics used by AEK were successful as the ball remained close to the half way line at all times.
Warrack's
G. Eaves saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 17 minutes.
L. Hobert knocked one home from a counterattack down the right wing, making the score 1 - 1 after 18 minutes.
1 - 2 was the score with 26 minutes played, after
M. Laštůvka cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for AEK.
27 minutes into the match, Warrack's
J. Brixen maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 2 - 2.
It was 2 - 2 at the break.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Warrack, with 61 percent of the ball.
A. Meyer would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
H. Manu entered the game for Warrack as the match clock showed 70 minutes.

AEK's talent at pressing frustrated the spectators as the game became a dire midfield struggle.
K. Goldstein was called on to replace Warrack's

The home keeper expected a move to the right, but
Đ. Jecl surprised him with a free kick aimed the other way 87 minutes into the match. 2 - 3 for AEK.
Warrack enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.
Most important Warrack player was
M. Bennett.
K. Goldstein turned in a dismal performance, however.
The most dominating AEK player was without a doubt
A. Groshikov.
On the other hand,
F. Wadenkrampf's play was disheartening.
