Porkers decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Valderrama - Symes, Parshin, Eales - Hampson, Shaylor, Ogilvy, Curry, Hasper - Kerrigan, Tiatto.
Four20 tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination.
Starters: Paes Dias - Sevilla, Koivistoinen, Martins Loureiro, Kociuba - Camacho, Cáceres, Robichaud, Conolan, Moragues - Hoppe.
The wings were the focus of most of Porkers's attacks today.
After 3 minutes, Four20's
D. Conolan made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
E. Ogilvy got himself booked. The manager of Porkers was not happy.
The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like
I. Hoppe.
E. Eales didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain.
43 minutes in, and Porkers were able to score the equalising goal to make it 1 - 1 when
A. Tiatto picked up a pass coming in from the right and chipped it past the away team's keeper.
With 43 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending.
I. Hoppe put the ball away for 1 - 2.
The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2.
Neither team were able to dominate possession this half.
A tussle 49 minutes into the match resulted in a penalty being awarded to the home team and
V. Parshin put the ball into the back of the net without any difficulty. That tied the score up at 2 - 2.
The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when
I. Hoppe was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 59 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead!
Porkers had a good opportunity to take the lead as
A. Tiatto came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of
D. Paes Dias.
Four20's
D. Paes Dias left the field after 61 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
V. Luginin.
Four20 took the lead after 62 minutes making the score 2 - 3.
A. Cáceres placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left.
E. Moragues of Four20 took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 63 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 2 - 4.
After this, you could see that the players of Four20 were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
The Four20 players could smell victory in the air.
D. Robichaud wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
N. Garczewski after 75 minutes.
A. Tiatto did everything he could to get one back for his Porkers, but keeper
V. Luginin denied him with a spectacular block.
After 76 minutes
T. Curry could have reduced the lead with a blistering strike from the left wing, had it not been for an excellent block by the visitors' keeper.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Porkers, with 52 percent of the ball.
The most dominating Porkers player was without a doubt
P. Hasper.
E. Ogilvy was a disappointment, however.
Most important Four20 player was
D. Conolan.
V. Luginin on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 2 - 4.
