Dark skies made the crowd of 35793 at
The Hill a little nervous, but the rain held off.

Schmoove started off with a 3-4-3 lineup.

Remnant had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.

A. Saka gave the visitors the lead 3 minutes into the match to make it 0 - 1. The goal was scored from the penalty spot after a handball in the penalty area.
Some fine movement on the left led to a Remnant goal after 18 minutes, making it 0 - 2.
A. Saka was noted down as the scorer.
The home side worked their way through the middle and almost got one back when
K. Johnson tried to sneak the ball past the keeper.
T. Clifford was too alert for that!
It was 0 - 2 at the break.
Possession in this half belonged to Remnant, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.
Schmoove refused to be intimidated and, breaking through the middle,
N. Ngandangara managed to slip the ball home for 1 - 2.
With a shot curled in from just outside the middle of the penalty area after 63 minutes played,
P. Voicu of Schmoove made the score 2 - 2.
A penalty was given after 84 minutes, allowing the visitors to gain the lead: 2 - 3.
A. Saka was the scorer.
That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for
A. Saka.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
M. Frankowski from Remnant a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 87 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
With 88 minutes played, Remnant put themselves up 2 - 4 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
P. Jones.
Remnant claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.
The most dominating Schmoove player was without a doubt
T. Buttigieg.
D. Hubald turned in a dismal performance, however.
A. Saka performed admirably for Remnant.
On the other hand,
T. Clifford's play was disheartening.
