The crowd of 12000 turning up at Dragon Woo Arena today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Rozmin bin Ahmad Mokshinon was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Juan Luis Valdaliso and Stefano Momentè. Dragon had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. They fielded: Graham - Hamburger, Stevens, Muspratt, Quimby - Cottee, Boath, Rogers, Saddington - Nurrish, Baugh.

Pigs decided to use a 2-5-3 set up. Lineup: Heerssema - Campbell, Warendorf - Dunn, Keskin, Harrison, Köves, Charlesworth - Itani, Sewell, García-Cardo.

As the 2 minute mark approached, the Pigs coach decided it was time for a substitution. L. Itani reluctantly made way for A. Carlier on the pitch. M. García-Cardo did not have a good day today, often losing his footing on the muddy pitch. After 12 minutes, Pigs's L. Keskin made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. 13 minutes into the game, Pigs worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. With 22 minutes played, T. Boath of Dragon fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. B. Sewell received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 31 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Pigs fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Pigs's O. Dunn somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for M. García-Cardo, who struck for 0 - 3. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Pigs lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 36 minutes, Pigs did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, G. Harrison was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 0 - 4. After 37 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for J. Charlesworth who increased Pigs's lead to 0 - 5. 0 - 5 was the halftime score. Pigs had most of the ball, with 82 percent of possession.

The coach of Pigs was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 46 minutes, A. Tingwell came on for J. Charlesworth. With 49 minutes played, Pigs's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to M. García-Cardo he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 0 - 6. T. Saddington of Dragon received a yellow card after 58 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After 71 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed A. Carlier to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 7. Pigs increased their lead after 75 minutes when A. Carlier broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 8, much to the home crowd's dismay. 78 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 9 as M. García-Cardo finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. That made three goals for M. García-Cardo and he was marked down for the hat trick. 80 minutes in, Dragon's A. Stevens received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. B. Sewell of Pigs took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 85 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 10. Pigs enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 86 percent of possession.

Dragon's best player was J. Nurrish. However, F. Graham made a disastrous appearance. Most important Pigs player was B. Köves. E. Warendorf turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 10.
