Crown 1 - 1 ChEnNiE (387126723)

45173 spectators arrived at Crown Clown, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Pierre Recour was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Emmanuel Boulet and Silvester Hanuš. The derby had been the talk of Brunei and Muara all week and fans of both teams could be seen throughout the stadium. Crown decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Kasprzyk - bin Hj Dagang, Jobim, Antolik - bin Tarip, Spirakos, Anderten, Ruiz, Tse Hui - Verpoest, Gładych.

ChEnNiE had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Yeganeh - Souchon, Nilbe, Silves - Li Heng, bin Kadri, Siong De, Strauss, 可量 (Keliang) - bin Hj Mohd, Phạm.

At 10 minutes played, A. Gładych came in from the right with the intention of giving Crown the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar. A well placed corner kick from S. bin Hj Mohd was followed by M. Phạm's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for ChEnNiE, the score now 0 - 1. M. Phạm was, after 16 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper R. Kasprzyk made the save. 0 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Crown, with 53 percent of the ball.

Crown's A. Gładych put his head to a high ball coming in from the right after 56 minutes, but the ball went wide. M. Phạm could have put his team up another goal 63 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. After 69 minutes, Q. Verpoest got through on the right and was very close to equalising for the home side, but didn't get the shot away. 70 minutes into the game, Crown had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to weak. After 72 minutes, D. Ruiz made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 1 - 1. R. Kasprzyk looked great 73 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' C. Siong De. ChEnNiE's V. Souchon refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 80 minutes. ChEnNiE claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

A. Gładych performed admirably for Crown. R. Kasprzyk was a disappointment, however. ChEnNiE's best player was M. Phạm. 宋. 可量 (Keliang) turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 1.
