previous 7/10 next 9/10  Exiles93 6 - 0 Melaka (387156157)

It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 12000 that came out to SoOn93 Arena. Preben 'Chefen' Elkjær was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Emilio Toca and Nick Gaßdorf. Exiles93 decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. Lineup: Putra - Ze Yao, Walid, Osterman, Feng Han - Wadihan Hanafi, Mohd Syamsuddin, Mohd Irzani, Iskandar - Syadi, Abd Rahim Jamaluddin.

Melaka started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. They fielded: bin Tahar - Che-Wei, bin Mustaffa, bin Musa, Nhat - bin Johar, Seng-Hee, Alias, Dhameja - Kong-Phay, bin Ismail.

Exiles93's M. Abd Rahim Jamaluddin was shown a yellow card after 6 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Melaka were forced into a substitution as T. Che-Wei couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing M. Abu Salim to come in off the bench. Exiles93 took the lead 10 minutes in, as M. Abd Rahim Jamaluddin broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Exiles93 to 2 - 0 as K. Syadi finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. By now, the players in Exiles93 felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. P. Ze Yao struck a 30 metre free kick home 33 minutes into the match. 3 - 0 for the home team. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Exiles93, who controlled the ball 64 percent of the time.

The sunny day didn't make things easy for K. Syadi who didn't seem his usual powerful self on the pitch. Exiles93 increased the lead as K. Syadi struck to make the score 4 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. After 76 minutes, speedy A. bin Ismail dashed past his marker, making plenty of room for the second wave of attack. However, P. Kong-Phay failed to score. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Exiles93 scored another to make it 5 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for M. Abd Rahim Jamaluddin after 83 minutes. The sun seemed to put M. Nhat in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long. Exiles93 managed to extend their lead to 6 - 0 when K. Syadi cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. By then K. Syadi had scored three goals - a hat trick! Exiles93 claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 67 percent.

Exiles93's top performer was clearly M. Abd Rahim Jamaluddin. J. Putra on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Melaka player was without a doubt S. Seng-Hee. However, A. Dhameja made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 6 - 0.
