At this point, it was obvious that the players of Real lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Real's L. Cananea was shown a yellow card after 27 minutes for slicing down an opponent. It was 0 - 2 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Real, with 70 percent of the ball.

After 47 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave M. Lovrec a chance to increase the lead for Real, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 3. G. Carpels increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 4. G. Carpels of Real took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 71 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 5. By then G. Carpels had scored three goals - a hat trick! 73 minutes in, Real's G. Kütt received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. V. Spivak received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 73 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. The visitors' G. Carpels took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 74 minutes into the match. 0 - 6 for Real. After 76 minutes, Real sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached L. Cananea, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 0 - 7. Real enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 77 percent of possession.

M. Davydenkov performed admirably for Ivanovo. V. Spivak on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Real player was G. Carpels. E. Toft turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 7.
