Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 12000 to Ptz-Rockets Arena. Nepomuk Schintler was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Kobi Yunger and Boriss Caune. Down the middle came O. Chipurin, making a fantastic play that nearly had Shramchester take the lead after 2 minutes, but K. Nasretdinov preserved the tie. Ptz-Rockets had a good opportunity to take the lead as E. Rogalskiy came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of V. Arinushkin. Ptz-Rockets's E. Rogalskiy got himself booked for a foul. Ptz-Rockets broke through on the left 23 minutes into the game, with A. Andryushkin firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. Ptz-Rockets claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

V. Keleynikov of Ptz-Rockets was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. N. Sadkov unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. Shramchester had a chance to level the score as A. Skrāpis suddenly found himself free in the middle of the box with only the keeper to beat, but he misjudged the finish, and only managed to hit the bar. As V. Sozdatelev had, completely unprovoked, swept the legs out from under an opponent in front of a linesman, the referee gave the Ptz-Rockets player a red card without batting an eyelid. With 74 minutes gone, Shramchester had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, A. Skrāpis did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. A cross coming in on the right hand side left J. Zaštofs alone in front of the goal after 77 minutes but his shot was woeful. Shramchester had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

Ptz-Rockets's top performer was clearly E. Kapyrin. V. Keleynikov turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Shramchester player was without a doubt N. Apatenko. On the other hand, V. Shlyk's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 0.
