Mordownia clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. With 2 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as L. Abelha flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave T. Kolovos from Mordownia a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 12 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! The visitors almost came back with an equaliser 13 minutes into the match after a good combination down the middle, but when E. Zaldāts tried to finish the attack, he couldn't deliver the shot hard enough to seriously challenge the keeper. With 37 minutes played, WajchaJuve's R. Wozniak almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. 39 minutes into the game, Mordownia seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a inadequate level of organisation. WajchaJuve increased the lead as R. Wozniak struck to make the score 2 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. Halftime score was 2 - 0. WajchaJuve claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

During the break, Mordownia's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. Content with how the game was proceeding, the WajchaJuve coach let B. Greenstein replace I. Bundgaard after 54 minutes. The WajchaJuve players could smell victory in the air. B. Thorning wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for D. Fitz after 65 minutes. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, S. Goiriz got himself booked. The manager of Mordownia was not happy. Mordownia's S. Forystek left the field after 67 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was J. Eskesen. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in WajchaJuve's R. Wozniak increasing the lead to 3 - 0. The referee showed Mordownia's E. Zaldāts the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. WajchaJuve's D. Fitz saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 74 minutes. J. Prieto of Mordownia received a yellow card after 75 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. J. Curo wanted to play on, but the WajchaJuve coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 80 minutes into the game by F. Cabecinha. WajchaJuve enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 62 percent of possession.

L. Abelha performed admirably for WajchaJuve. M. Lagler on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Mordownia player was E. Zaldāts. J. Eskesen turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 0.
