Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Kielce Allianz Arena saw a crowd turnout of 16587. Antonio Marino was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Bo Leslie and Martijn Klapwijk. KRWIŚCI decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. KRWIŚCI were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. Today, Rumuński's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. Players in KRWIŚCI heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. At 10 minutes played, M. Błeszyński came in from the right with the intention of giving KRWIŚCI the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar. Rumuński's L. Czerniawski managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 11 minutes. 0 - 1. After 12 minutes, KRWIŚCI used a short break in the game to take new instructions from their coach. Unhappy with the result so far in the game, the KRWIŚCI manager used a brief break in play after 12 minutes to give the players new directives. 17 minutes into the match, KRWIŚCI's M. Błeszyński maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 1 - 1. M. Błeszyński caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 28 minutes. This gave KRWIŚCI the 2 - 1 lead. It was obvious that Rumuński had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. After 33 minutes, the visitors tied it up at 2 - 2 when a fantastic pass from the left was finished off by A. Magalhães Santos. 36 minutes in, KRWIŚCI's G. Ciaschini received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. A. Gęca was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Rumuński's E. Gurriarán had to come off the bench. KRWIŚCI were very close to putting themselves one up after 40 minutes as L. Shchepochkin got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide. Halftime score was 2 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by KRWIŚCI, with 54 percent of the ball.

The guests took the lead 52 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in S. Dolder scoring to make it 2 - 3. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 55 minutes, KRWIŚCI did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, R. Adanur was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 3 - 3. After 68 minutes, the KRWIŚCI coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving F. Gospoś off the field. J. Uliasz took his place. S. Krywko would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. W. Studniarz entered the game for KRWIŚCI as the match clock showed 70 minutes. The KRWIŚCI captaincy was handed to M. Seidl. 74 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a KRWIŚCI substitution. K. Dziurdzik came on for R. Adanur. KRWIŚCI fans held their breath as W. Sieniawski scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 4 - 3! KRWIŚCI claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

The most dominating KRWIŚCI player was without a doubt M. Błeszyński. F. Magier turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Rumuński player was A. Magalhães Santos. W. Arnone was a disappointment, however. The match ends 4 - 3.
