19057 spectators had found their way to TORTOM Arena, despite the heavy rain. Noldi Lanker was the appointed referee. TORTOM started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Starters: Flores - Hinteregger, Oltramonti, Römer - Nentwig, Koivulehto, Blicharz, Melaik, Tsirigotakis - Rogalev, Masferrer.

Special had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation. They fielded: Von Eyben - Dratewka, Nagata - Buzaglo, Gensinger, Romans, Feindert, Chilò Trosman - Davidsson, Kourampies, Serra.

Making his way up the middle 11 minutes into the match, M. Hinteregger almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert L. Von Eyben blocked it to keep the score level. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 13 minutes, Special did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, Y. Kourampies was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 0 - 1. TORTOM's T. Blicharz refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 14 minutes. After 25 minutes, Special's A. Chilò Trosman fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! P. Masferrer was having a great game - if anything the pouring rain seemed to be spurring him on! With the crowd on their feet chanting wildly, some great moves down the right hand side after 30 minutes gave TORTOM a wonderful opportunity to level the score, and P. Masferrer stepped up to the challenge. 1 - 1 After 31 minutes Special's X. Romans contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. TORTOM had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

Special's A. Chilò Trosman got himself booked for a foul. A loud groan was heard from the fans of TORTOM, as A. Flores left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match. D. Byrdziak took his place on the field. TORTOM took the lead after 80 minutes as a result of G. Rogalev's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 2 - 1. Special levelled the score after 82 minutes to make it 2 - 2, as L. Dratewka struck home after a fine midfield combination through the centre, which left him completely unmarked. Some great play up the middle by TORTOM led to a chance for H. Melaik to score after 84 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. Possession in this half belonged to TORTOM, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.

TORTOM's top performer was clearly P. Masferrer. However, D. Byrdziak made a disastrous appearance. J. Davidsson performed admirably for Special. A. Chilò Trosman was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 2.
