Clouds darkened the skies at Emeryci Poznan Arena as 27910 spectators turned up for the match. Artur Brothel was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Safet Kajganic and Jesper Branderberg. Emeryci started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Viceconte - Zotter, Rocha Freitas, Meilink, Edwardczyk - Niewiadomski, Geiger-Trippmacher, Aleksandrić, Tuliszka - Leśniewski, Aschauer.

It was an obvious ambition of Emeryci to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. Emeryci broke through on the left 5 minutes into the game, with M. Rocha Freitas firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. One of many good crosses from V. Stikliņš on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by A. Rullo, who scored for Sciemniacze. 1 - 1 35 minutes into the match, Sciemniacze nearly took the lead, as D. Zindt broke through on the right. F. Viceconte made the save, however. Sciemniacze's W. Dworakowski gave the visitors a 1 - 2 lead after 37 minutes with a superb strike from the right. A foul 39 minutes into the game resulted in a free kick for Emeryci. P. Leśniewski took advantage as he curled the equalising goal into the top corner, just out of the reach of the keeper. 2 - 2. 2 - 2 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Sciemniacze, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.

After 58 minutes, N. Geiger-Trippmacher came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 3 - 2, giving Emeryci the lead. Sciemniacze had a chance to level the score as S. Cyrus suddenly found himself free in the middle of the box with only the keeper to beat, but he misjudged the finish, and only managed to hit the bar. Neither team were able to dominate possession this half.

Most important Emeryci player was P. Leśniewski. However, A. Meilink made a disastrous appearance. Sciemniacze's best player was 袁. 国强 (Guoqiang) . M. Galanda was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 2.
