A scorching day at Lewis Arena, where 22862 spectators were in place for today's match. Stefan Kerber was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Antonio Brillante and Manfredi Repetti. The derby had been the talk of Mazowieckie all week and fans of both teams could be seen throughout the stadium. Lewis had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. Lewis's J. Lasagna got himself booked for a foul. B. Olek's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for Linki, he bravely continued in the match. Linki took the lead after 32 minutes making the score 0 - 1. O. Bühligen placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. C. Rénou of Lewis received a yellow card after 33 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. With the crowd on their feet chanting wildly, some great moves down the right hand side after 34 minutes gave Lewis a wonderful opportunity to level the score, and S. Skula stepped up to the challenge. 1 - 1 After 38 minutes, Linki's I. Zolotarev made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 1 - 2. 40 minutes into the game, Lewis seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate. K. Gawot got a fingertip on O. Bühligen's shot from the left 42 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. Some fine movement on the left led to a Linki goal after 43 minutes, making it 1 - 3. T. From was noted down as the scorer. A drive down the left side allowed L. Knudsen to get in close and score another goal for Linki after 43 minutes, taking the score to 1 - 4. 1 - 4 was the score after the first half. Linki had most of the ball, with 61 percent of possession.

During the break, Lewis's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. O. Bühligen of Linki took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 48 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 1 - 5. After 52 minutes, a deliberate handball from Lewis's C. Rénou was judged to be his second bookable offence, and he was sent off. The heat made it a terrible day for A. Dukshtein, who seemed unable to keep up with the other players. After 56 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave T. From a chance to increase the lead for Linki, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 6. 61 minutes in, Lewis appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only solid. After 73 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for A. Dukshtein who increased Linki's lead to 1 - 7. By now, the players in Linki felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. With 75 minutes played, G. Osorio nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. 82 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 8 as I. Zolotarev finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. Linki claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

Most important Lewis player was E. Arnone. However, A. Makuła made a disastrous appearance. Linki's best player was I. Zolotarev. E. van Daatselaar was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 8.
