>DS< 3 - 1 CHESTER
(387370749)

17-06-2012 10.30
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 20322 to
Racławiczki ARENA.
Vesa Jyrkinen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Taimoor Niaz and
Tobias Håkansson.
>DS< started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
They fielded: Grojec - Salvatierra, Piechniak, Adel - Imperial, Wolf, Cerry, Tusha, Drutel - Mustafa, Kopytko.
CHESTER had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
The following players took the field: Sorescu - Schifferli, Ekleris, Gülçehre - Cahen, Adolfsson, Mache, Maciá, Geslin - Mobilia, Sánchez Lagos.
>DS< were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks.
P. Tusha gave >DS< the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0
>DS<'s
L. Imperial had an excellent opportunity after 16 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles!
>DS<'s
C. Mustafa swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball.
The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0.
>DS< had most of the ball, with 62 percent of possession.
The goal for 1 - 1 was a funny story: after 54 minutes the seemingly nonchalant lob from CHESTER's
N. Schifferli landed at the feet of
E. Geslin who sidefooted it into the net - nice goal!
Attacking on the wings was the choice for >DS<, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack.
>DS<'s
L. Imperial had seen it all before, so he waited patiently for the right opportunity. He would get no better chance than the one he took, but his shot was deftly blocked by the keeper.
>DS< fans held their breath as
C. Mustafa scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 2 - 1!
B. Wolf should probably have put his team up another goal after 76 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
L. Sorescu kept the visitors in the game.
>DS<'s
P. Tusha got himself booked for a foul.
Unfortunately for CHESTER,
E. Ekleris was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field.
H. Niedersedlitz replaced him.
After 84 minutes,
A. Kopytko put >DS< ahead 3 - 1 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.
Against a lesser team, CHESTER could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 86 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save.
>DS< claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 69 percent.
Most important >DS< player was
P. Tusha.
On the other hand,
H. Adel's play was disheartening.
I. Sánchez Lagos performed admirably for CHESTER.
H. Niedersedlitz on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 3 - 1.
