30300 spectators had come to
Mordor Arena this cloudy day.
Gregor Pflauger was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Vicente Lamas and
Goran Pantić.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Silmarillions.
The following players took the field: Szarowski - Grugni, Bruet, Fedoseev - Lembacher, Vukoja, Cappello, Olszański, Scott - Drouin, Naydenov.
SYBER decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
Starters: Süreyya - Maltoni, Spriet, Marrani - Salahović, Szala, Schaim, Mieńko, Męczyński - Bellamine, Oliveira.
SYBER were relying on their ability to counter-attack.
G. Fedoseev was very close to giving Silmarillions the lead with an ingenious free kick routine 7 minutes into the match, but the ball just grazed the bar.
They were singing the praises of
M. Lembacher 15 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Silmarillions.
R. Scott unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide.
The referee showed Silmarillions's
N. Naydenov the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
1 - 0 was the score after the first half.
Silmarillions enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.
N. Naydenov left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 50 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
J. Hammarbrant was the replacement.
One of many good crosses from
N. Salahović on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by
L. Oliveira, who scored for SYBER. 1 - 1
Slack defending gave Silmarillions a chance to take the lead with 60 minutes played, but
B. Olszański's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition.
SYBER's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 61 minutes gone, but
Ł. Mieńko's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper.
Silmarillions took the lead 63 minutes into the game by 2 - 1, as
J. Hammarbrant elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar.
The coach of Silmarillions was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 70 minutes,
P. Fourfouras came on for
M. Bruet.
Silmarillions had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.
Silmarillions's top performer was clearly
S. Drouin.
P. Fourfouras was a disappointment, however.
Most important SYBER player was
Ł. Mieńko.
L. Oliveira on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 2 - 1.
