Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Arena Sport Brójce saw a crowd turnout of 19887. Grzmot tried to focus their attacks down the middle. After 25 minutes, Vand's G. Krintz made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. With the crowd on their feet chanting wildly, some great moves down the right hand side after 26 minutes gave Grzmot a wonderful opportunity to level the score, and I. Miró stepped up to the challenge. 1 - 1 38 minutes into the game, R. Chamizo was a hair's breadth away from giving Vand the lead with a shot from over on the left. A prompt block by D. Aldeia saved the home team that time. After 39 minutes P. Chilavert made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to S. Leroux who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 1 - 2. It was 1 - 2 at the break. Grzmot enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.

As the game started to slip away for Grzmot, the manager decided to change the tactical approach. After 61 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for C. Frâncu who increased Vand's lead to 1 - 3. Vand's R. Chamizo got himself booked for a foul. Given a free kick close to the byline, Grzmot tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let T. Asaad slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 2 - 3, 76 minutes into the game. It was obvious that team Grzmot had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. With 81 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Grzmot resulted in a counterattack that set T. Asaad free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. With a shot curled in from just outside the middle of the penalty area after 83 minutes played, M. Smaga of Grzmot made the score 3 - 3. After some beautiful movement down the left wing, M. Kołaczek scored for Grzmot putting them ahead 4 - 3, after 87 minutes. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. E. Van Geert squirmed through their central defence after 88 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 3. Grzmot claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 67 percent.

Grzmot's top performer was clearly M. Kołaczek. N. Mazzon was a disappointment, however. Most important Vand player was R. Gopo. P. Chilavert on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 3.
