The crowd of 15004 turning up at
Wulkan today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain.
Omar Podda was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Alexandre Reissert and
Giuseppe Di Giorgio.
Kamcio decided to use a 3-4-3 set up.
Starters: Brugiotti - Cathala, Hansson, Pansini - Ünner, Cavaillès, Erles, Rinkinen - Pawlusiewicz, Bodart, Welschen.
Pruchnik started off with a 5-4-1 lineup.
The following players took the field: Le Roy - Korsak, Manios, Bełus, Hesch, Kozimor - Maćkowski, Taschenmacher, Volante, Grzegoszczyk - Bryazgin.
Kamcio saw most attack opportunities on the wings.
The game was characterised by rough play and many physical challenges on the wet field, but
T. Hesch showed great heart and had a good game.
The rain made it hard for players like
I. Maćkowski to show their technical control of the ball on this soggy day.
P. Brugiotti looked great 15 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors'
K. Grzegoszczyk.
Kamcio got a penalty shot 16 minutes into the game, but
B. Bodart scuffed the shot slightly and
Y. Le Roy was able to block.
The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Kamcio, with 57 percent of the ball.
K. Welschen caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 47 minutes. This gave Kamcio the 1 - 0 lead.
With 53 minutes played,
B. Pawlusiewicz of Kamcio fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
It was obvious that Kamcio had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle.
B. Pawlusiewicz increased the lead for Kamcio to 2 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
It might be a while before the fans see Kamcio's
A. Cavaillès again, after he had to leave the field in great distress at the 79 minute mark. He was replaced by
F. Venant.
Kamcio put themselves up 3 - 0 when
B. Pawlusiewicz broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
After 83 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
M. Ünner gave the Kamcio supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 4 - 0.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of Kamcio lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
Kamcio had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.
Most important Kamcio player was
B. Pawlusiewicz.
However,
F. Venant made a disastrous appearance.
Pruchnik's best player was
V. Bryazgin.
On the other hand,
K. Grzegoszczyk's play was disheartening.
The match ends 4 - 0.
