'Herberg 3 - 1 Flying
(387485467)

12-08-2012 09.30
Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
Real 'Herberg Arena saw a crowd turnout of 44623.
Ryan Torry was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Gustavo Barazarte and
Daniel Sohm.
The derby had been the talk of
Niederösterreich all week and fans of both teams could be seen throughout the stadium.
'Herberg had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation.
They fielded: Ranta-Tyrkkö - Nowak, Mogoş, Pečnik, Glowatz - Mangold, Laubichler, Payr, Warnaar - Bertomeu, Schweighofer.
Flying decided to use a 2-5-3 set up.
The following players took the field: Charuel - Absenger, Brettoni - Weber, Reiner, Pavlović, Fisk, Parmesão - Davida, Karrer, Hostein.
They were singing the praises of
M. Mangold 8 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to 'Herberg.
G. Glowatz increased 'Herberg's lead to 2 - 0 with a penalty spot cannonball.
L. Bertomeu really should have scored when he was chosen by fate to confront a wide open goal following a great play by
I. Laubichler after a corner.
Flying's
D. Reiner got himself booked for a foul.
'Herberg's
A. Warnaar left the field after 30 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
R. Tomi.
J. Ranta-Tyrkkö became the new 'Herberg captain.
Halftime score was 2 - 0.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Flying, with 52 percent of the ball.
After 54 minutes, 'Herberg raised their score by one when
R. Tomi's dangerous low cross was cleverly tucked in at the near post by
L. Bertomeu. 3 - 0.
'Herberg's
M. Pečnik had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 60 minutes having been played.
F. Weiss was the replacement.
The crowd roared its approval when
J. Ranta-Tyrkkö somehow managed to block a shot which seemed to be a certain goal by Flying's
P. Weber 72 minutes into the game.
The Flying free kick 73 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of
M. Hostein, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 3 - 1!
74 minutes in, Flying's
B. Parmesão received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Flying claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.
'Herberg's top performer was clearly
L. Bertomeu.
R. Tomi on the other hand, had a terrible day.
M. Hostein performed admirably for Flying.
However,
P. Weber made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 3 - 1.
