Clouds darkened the skies at Stadion am Prater as 34517 spectators turned up for the match. Tomek Kapela was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Anton Yuzpullenko and István Zöld. Ebner, making a fantastic play that nearly had Veilchen take the lead after 35 minutes, but A. Zeltzer preserved the tie. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. The celebrations in the stands could only mean one thing - M. García Reignier's free kick had found the back of the net and put Concordia ahead 2 - 1! Benetazzo to come in off the bench. Concordia enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

Most important Concordia player was M. García Reignier. On the other hand, F. Benetazzo's play was disheartening. The most dominating Veilchen player was without a doubt D. Lazic. However, F. Kogler made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 2.
