Nicastro was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 30 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 1 - 2 was the score. G. Nicastro could have put his team up another goal 35 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. 36 minutes into the game, Benno1709 worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. It was 1 - 2 at the break. Hüttenstürmer enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

With 56 minutes played, R. Schneider of Hüttenstürmer fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. A tussle 65 minutes into the match resulted in a penalty being awarded to the home team and Y. Sevener put the ball into the back of the net without any difficulty. That tied the score up at 2 - 2. The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like A. Nilsson. Possession in this half belonged to Benno1709, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.
