Clear skies welcomed the 8630 spectators who had made their way to
Aweseome Crew Arena.
Curtis Allison was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Lars Thorstensson and
Richard Vetter.
The derby had been the talk of
Dolnośląskie all week and fans of both teams could be seen throughout the stadium.
"Aweseome started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
They fielded: Bregy - Deltenre, Epifani, Jorgji, Szamański - Ursu, Coltofeanu, Knautz, Boeriu - Wiekiera, Krahl.
67-200 decided to use a 3-4-3 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Ackermann-Fruehauf - Ramza, Schiavoni, Angrilli - Zevzek, Labareda, Ciglic, Odolczyk - Mlakar, Ratuszny, Kucki.
Underestimation of the opposition made 67-200 players perform way below their normal capacity.
67-200 clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle.
After 2 minutes, 67-200's
R. Ramza made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1.
After 8 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
J. Odolczyk who increased 67-200's lead to 0 - 2.
A crazy pass by
E. Zevzek towards his own keeper almost caused a goal for "Aweseome, but
S. Boeriu didn't get the finish right.
With 20 minutes played,
I. Schiavoni of 67-200 fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
67-200's
I. Ciglic missed a penalty shot 24 minutes into the contest. The shot produced was way too weak, allowing the keeper to collect it at his own leisure.
At 33 minutes into the game, "Aweseome's
K. Jorgji deftly knocked the ball home after an impressive run down the left, reducing the visitors' lead to 1 - 2.
1 - 2 was the score after the first half.
67-200 claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.
67-200 were in the lead, even though they'd severely underestimated their opponents. The team looked slightly more willing to put in the necessary work as the second half started.
With 47 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
J. Odolczyk of 67-200 to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 1 - 3.
A late sliding challenge from
I. Schiavoni was deemed to be his second yellow card offence by the referee, resulting in him being sent off, and 67-200 left a man down.
"Aweseome were forced into a substitution as
A. Coltofeanu couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing
A. Lapidot to come in off the bench.
The visitors'
R. Ramza took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 82 minutes into the match. 1 - 4 for 67-200.
By now, the players in 67-200 felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
After 84 minutes of game time,
L. Kucki had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but
T. Bregy was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner.
Possession in this half belonged to 67-200, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.
The most dominating "Aweseome player was without a doubt
E. Krahl.
However,
S. Boeriu made a disastrous appearance.
Most important 67-200 player was
H. Labareda.
R. Mlakar turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 1 - 4.
