Vöcklamarkt 4 - 2 OTK (387517775)

Clear skies welcomed the 12000 spectators who had made their way to Union Vöcklamarkt Arena. Antti-Jussi Uski was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Leif Bjärnsson and Juan de Dios Fontecilla. Vöcklamarkt decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. Starters: Breier - Burgstaller, Bubenik, Weinwurm, Kofler - Mohr, Kienzl, Pirker, Singh - Auer, Leser.

OTK started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Zych - Brenner, Rapp, Kerber, Aschaber - Kocsis, Schopf, Schuberth, Stauder - Koller, Udry.

Having just succeeded in blocking a dangerous counter attack, the defending team was outwitted by the follow-up OTK free kick. The routine was expertly executed as the ball was shifted quickly to one side of the box, then back to the other. E. Udry appeared on cue near the post, and steered it past the goalie. 0 - 1, after 3 minutes. Due to some great work on the right wing Vöcklamarkt's K. Singh was able to even the score after 9 minutes to make the score 1 - 1. Vöcklamarkt took the lead 17 minutes into the match after a magnificent free kick by G. Burgstaller that made the score 2 - 1. 2 - 1 was the score after the first half. Vöcklamarkt claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 68 percent.

After 75 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and S. Kienzl gave the Vöcklamarkt supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 1. Vöcklamarkt's G. Pirker got himself booked for a foul. 79 minutes into the match, OTK replied and reduced the lead to 3 - 2. L. Brenner scored on a marvellous cross pass coming in from the left. After 83 minutes, Vöcklamarkt raised their score by one when A. Mohr's dangerous low cross was cleverly tucked in at the near post by G. Leser. 4 - 2. Vöcklamarkt put in a good effort on the right, but G. Pirker saw his volley fly wide of the mark 85 minutes into the game. L. Brenner of OTK received a yellow card after 86 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Possession in this half belonged to Vöcklamarkt, who controlled the ball 65 percent of the time.

Vöcklamarkt's top performer was clearly G. Pirker. However, E. Breier made a disastrous appearance. F. Koller performed admirably for OTK. E. Stauder on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 2.
