OTK's A. Kocsis was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 4 minutes. 14 minutes into the game, T. Johansen was a hair's breadth away from giving Stormblast the lead with a shot from over on the left. A prompt block by V. Zych saved the home team that time. F. Rapp of OTK was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. After 22 minutes Stormblast's A. Himmelmaier contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. 29 minutes into the game, Stormblast's M. Abraão missed an opportunity to score the leading goal from a penalty when he delivered the shot straight into the keeper's hands. A penalty was given after 33 minutes, allowing the visitors to gain the lead: 0 - 1. M. Abraão was the scorer. A drive down the left side allowed J. Moya to get in close and score another goal for Stormblast after 37 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 2. The players of Stormblast now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. After 42 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed A. Himmelmaier to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 3. Stormblast's F. Destin got himself booked for a foul. A loud groan was heard from the fans of OTK, as D. Schuberth left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match. I. Kowarz took his place on the field. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 3. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Stormblast, with 87 percent of the ball.

48 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 4 as F. Destin finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. The home crowd was not impressed when A. Becht came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 54 minutes. Stormblast were now up 0 - 5. The referee showed OTK's P. Aschaber the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. With 76 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed A. Becht of Stormblast to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 6. After 85 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for F. Destin who increased Stormblast's lead to 0 - 7. With 86 minutes played, Stormblast put themselves up 0 - 8 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was E. Szewczuwieniec. Possession in this half belonged to Stormblast, who controlled the ball 88 percent of the time.

Most important OTK player was F. Koller. On the other hand, E. Stauder's play was disheartening. Stormblast's top performer was clearly F. Destin. However, D. Kinz made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 8.
