The crowd groaned its disapproval when A. Savran missed a free kick that would have given Hefa the lead after 12 minutes. 27 minutes in, fc/bayern's B. J. Knieriem was caught napping as A. Savran lifted a ball over him following a free kick, but the ball hit the bar, rebounding into the keeper's arms. With 51 minutes played, Hefa's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to W. Linders he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 2 - 0. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 69 minutes, Hefa did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, W. Linders was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 3 - 0. Hefa enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

Hefa's best player was S. Kölbl. J. Jesionek on the other hand, had a terrible day. fc/bayern's top performer was clearly E. Weemhoff. J. Knieriem turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 0.
