Cheers filled the stadium as W. Gröbner broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to WkstKp. With 27 minutes played, WkstKp put themselves up 4 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to J. Eugster, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. After 28 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by W. Gröbner might have resulted in another goal for WkstKp. However, Ö. Turagay made a spectacular save. Halftime score was 4 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to WkstKp, who controlled the ball 84 percent of the time.

WkstKp put themselves up 5 - 0 when R. Brandner broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. The players of WkstKp now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. WkstKp managed to extend their lead to 6 - 0 when R. Brandner cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in WkstKp's W. Gröbner increasing the lead to 7 - 0. At that, W. Gröbner was noted down for a hat trick! 62 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as T. Drescher broke through, making the score 8 - 0 for WkstKp. WkstKp claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 88 percent.
