Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 15777 at Olimpijski today. Wiesław Klin was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Andrea Barreca and Soni Lindman. BAŁTYK had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. They fielded: Qaramyan - Casino, De dominicis, Hansen, Alcaina - Tennert, Reissig, Nikolov, Sahrer, Juskowiak - Jadczak.

BAŁTYK saw most attack opportunities on the wings. Rembridz seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. 15 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for BAŁTYK to take the lead after a good cross from the right found I. Jadczak alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post. 21 minutes into the game, BAŁTYK had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to inadequate. With 30 minutes played K. Casino almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. T. Juskowiak's lightning pace was too much for R. Vorburger who could only look on as the BAŁTYK player blasted one home. 1 - 0. With 34 minutes played, S. Donato came in from the right and could have evened the score, but the defenders successfully repelled the attack by Rembridz. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Rembridz, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. 38 minutes into the game Rembridz's R. Fragkopoulos found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 1 - 1. Rembridz's M. Fernández de Córdoba could have put the guests one up after 40 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but V. Qaramyan was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. K. Casino of BAŁTYK was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. 1 - 2 was the score with 44 minutes played, after S. Donato cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Rembridz. Halftime score was 1 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to Rembridz, who controlled the ball 62 percent of the time.

The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that BAŁTYK had solid organisation. J. Sánchez came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over V. Qaramyan but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. The BAŁTYK players listened closely to their manager, as he gave new tactical instructions for the team. Unhappy with the result so far in the game, the BAŁTYK manager used a brief break in play after 70 minutes to give the players new directives. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, BAŁTYK's I. Jadczak was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 70 minutes. P. Ferenc was given a chance to change things around. After 71 minutes, BAŁTYK used a short break in the game to take new instructions from their coach. As the game started to slip away for BAŁTYK, the manager decided to change the tactical approach. 73 minutes in, Rembridz's S. Donato received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. 75 minutes into the game, Rembridz worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. BAŁTYK were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. No matter how hard he tried, P. Ferenc just couldn't get his shot past the visitors' right side defence after 81 minutes. 82 minutes into the game, M. Alcaina came close to levelling the score with a dangerous shot from the centre of the area that went just over the bar. It was obvious that team Rembridz had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. 84 minutes into the match, M.
