Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 12000 to FC Zumiaki. Boe Siggaard was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Wolf Peper and Jérome Mailhot. Mg oława mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. Mg oława had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 12 minutes in when F. Grudziński came up alone against K. Deputat who managed a block. After 17 minutes, Mg oława's L. Hassi made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. C. Frâncu increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 2. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. Mg oława enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

47 minutes into the match, Zumiaki's A. Astarloa collected a ball sent down the right and put it in the back of the net, narrowing the score to 1 - 2. The home crowd cheered when, after 49 minutes, M. Dymsza's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. R. Parollo knocked one home from a counterattack down the right wing, making the score 2 - 2 after 50 minutes. S. Rothmayr's lack of experience almost gave Mg oława a goal after 69 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. After a fine move down the middle A. Astarloa nearly gave the home side a goal after 70 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. S. Błachnio had a good opportunity to give Mg oława the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save. Mg oława players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. Mg oława took the lead 80 minutes into the game, making the score 2 - 3 after some elegant movement down the middle. F. Grudziński was the scorer. Zumiaki's F. Ångstedt got himself booked for a foul. R. Koćma of Mg oława seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 2 - 4 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by B. Pezo. The visitors' M. Bergvelt took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 83 minutes into the match. 2 - 5 for Mg oława. With 84 minutes played, B. Pezo of Mg oława fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Mg oława had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

Most important Zumiaki player was F. Ångstedt. However, R. André made a disastrous appearance. R. Koćma performed admirably for Mg oława. A. Krzesaj was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 5.
