Clouds darkened the skies at
Freudenhaus as 24282 spectators turned up for the match.
Rüdiger Tremskamp was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ettore Brunoro and
Vladimir Solís.
SVL tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Gstöttner - Gava, Boussemart, Pater - Majcherek, Crosswell, Andersson, Jakimovski - Bendazzoli, Nużyński, Pascuzzi.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for seWen.
Starters: Lackinger - Seifert, Schöberl, Pistotnik, Salamander - Ondruschka, Wind, Reichel, Brandl - Fritsche, Hubl.
G. Bendazzoli caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 10 minutes. This gave SVL the 1 - 0 lead.
With 16 minutes played, SVL's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to
U. Pascuzzi he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 2 - 0.
23 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
A. Nużyński broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for SVL.
seWen's
D. Reichel was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 27 minutes.
SVL solidified their lead at the 29 minute mark, as
P. Jakimovski dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 4 - 0.
After this, you could see that the players of SVL were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
Cheers filled the stadium as
M. Boussemart broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 5 - 0 to SVL.
A. Nużyński increased the lead for SVL to 6 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
6 - 0 was the halftime score.
SVL claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 79 percent.
G. Bendazzoli had a fantastic opportunity to put SVL up another goal 46 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.
Given a free kick close to the byline, SVL tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let
L. Andersson slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 7 - 0, 68 minutes into the game.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
B. Majcherek squirmed through their central defence after 71 minutes, increasing the lead to 8 - 0.
SVL put themselves up 9 - 0 when
G. Bendazzoli broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.

However,
