12000 spectators arrived at
PzAB 9 Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Filippo Falappa was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Montree Chalermchai and
Tibo Lievrouw.
All of
Niederösterreich was shut down for the day, as fans of both clubs came to the derby.
PzAB tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Petrič - Frűhauf, Tockner, Hofer, Stanojevic - Seiwald, Kern, Jandl, Voggenhuber - Baier, Moser.
Schwechat had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation.
They fielded: Altieri - Sârbu, Molotov, Kailas, Zaragozí - Paar, Veysi, Järv, Gómez, Rua - Holmström.
Schwechat's goal to make the score 0 - 1 came via a questionable penalty, but
L. Rua struck it home without a second thought.
An amazing free kick flew past the home keeper 19 minutes into the match, putting Schwechat ahead 0 - 2.
L. Rua was the scorer.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
Y. Molotov got himself booked. The manager of Schwechat was not happy.
Schwechat increased their lead after 30 minutes when
L. Paar broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of Schwechat lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
Schwechat's
L. Holmström was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 33 minutes.
0 - 3 was the halftime score.
Schwechat claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 88 percent.
L. Sârbu's lack of experience almost gave PzAB a goal after 58 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms.
M. Frűhauf of PzAB received a yellow card after 64 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
71 minutes into the game, Schwechat worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch.
74 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 4 as
M. Järv finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick.
After 76 minutes, Schwechat's
D. Zaragozí burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 5.
The visitors'
L. Holmström took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 78 minutes into the match. 0 - 6 for Schwechat.
Schwechat enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 90 percent of possession.
Most important PzAB player was
K. Baier.
Z. Stanojevic was a disappointment, however.
The most dominating Schwechat player was without a doubt
N. Kailas.
L. Rua turned in a dismal performance, however.
