Schwechat 5 - 0 ANGERN
(387613873)

15-07-2012 09.30
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 28441 to
Schwechat Cathedral.
Freddie Pollard was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Argintas Marcaitis and
Bengt Markert.
All of
Niederösterreich was shut down for the day, as fans of both clubs came to the derby.
A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Schwechat.
They fielded: Altieri - Zaragozí, Molotov, Kailas, Sârbu - Paar, Veysi, Järv, Gómez, Rua - Holmström.
ANGERN decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
The following players took the field: Hadok - Bauer, Fuchs, Filyó, Pirker - Kraus, Pflaum, Bergolth, Leitner - Grissmann, Essel.
Schwechat had to make a substitution after 7 minutes.
F. Veysi limped off the field and was replaced by
H. Wagner.
L. Paar was handed the Schwechat captain's armband.
Some great play up the middle by Schwechat led to a chance for
D. Zaragozí to score after 9 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar.
With the clock showing 32 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of ANGERN resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by
T. Pflaum in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high.
After some beautiful movement down the left wing,
M. Järv scored for Schwechat putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 37 minutes.
The referee showed Schwechat's
L. Paar the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Unfortunately for ANGERN,
T. Pflaum was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field.
S. Buxhofer replaced him.
C. Fuchs became the new ANGERN captain.
Schwechat put in a good effort on the right, but
N. Kailas saw his volley fly wide of the mark 41 minutes into the game.
1 - 0 was the score after the first half.
Possession in this half belonged to Schwechat, who controlled the ball 81 percent of the time.
With 47 minutes played, Schwechat put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
L. Holmström, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
After this, you could see that the players of Schwechat were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
The Schwechat free kick 63 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of
D. Zaragozí, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 3 - 0!
Schwechat solidified their lead at the 65 minute mark, as
L. Holmström dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 4 - 0.
Schwechat's
H. Wagner was shown a yellow card after 76 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
Schwechat increased the lead as
H. Wagner struck to make the score 5 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper.
Schwechat claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 84 percent.
Most important Schwechat player was
M. Järv.
On the other hand,
H. Wagner's play was disheartening.
R. Grissmann performed admirably for ANGERN.
H. Hadok was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 5 - 0.
