previous 3/10 next 5/10  Qtendo 1 - 3 Podbój (387722154)

6366 fans braved the pouring rain at Stamford bridge. Jean-Jacques Meyer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Rutgerus van Vreeswijk and Wieger Muys. Qtendo started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Lineup: Burchard - Nordkvist, Irani Parast, Juuti, Fanfara - Parysek, Picaut, Møller Pedersen, Morote - Alves, Palosaari.

Podbój decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. They fielded: Glad - Paśkiewicz, Hyżyk, Bojdoł, Modzelewski - Chomicz, Kitsuta, Anzel, Samp - Rozbicki, Kobos.

Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Qtendo. A foul called during a Qtendo counterattack resulted in a great chance to score, but P. Fanfara's shot rattled off the post. The referee showed Qtendo's S. Irani Parast the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. S. Irani Parast finished off the counterattack of Qtendo from the left rather easily, making the score 1 - 0. The rain made it hard for players like L. Samp to show their technical control of the ball on this soggy day. 40 minutes in, Podbój's Y. Kitsuta received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. P. Møller Pedersen caught everyone off guard with a great opening pass - but unfortunately P. Morote was as surprised by the move as anybody else, and managed to miss the extraordinary opportunity. The home team will be cursing Y. Kitsuta for weeks; he finished off a great pass from the left, knocking it past the keeper without a problem. The match was level at 1 - 1 after 42 minutes. 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Podbój, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

A penalty was given after 48 minutes, allowing the visitors to gain the lead: 1 - 2. L. Samp was the scorer. 69 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 3 as Y. Kitsuta finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Podbój lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, M. Paśkiewicz got himself booked. The manager of Podbój was not happy. Possession was split evenly between the teams.

Most important Qtendo player was Í. Alves. On the other hand, J. Picaut's play was disheartening. Podbój's top performer was clearly Z. Rozbicki. L. Samp was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 3.
