Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 6282 to PVP. Loren Elias was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Alexios Mplekos and Jochen Fürstaller. The derby had been the talk of Małopolskie all week and fans of both teams could be seen throughout the stadium. Golkowice tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. Starters: Fábián - Dubois, Bruhns, Kolibski, Velkov - Dołbiński, Marcolini, Powązka, Goudet - Mulczyński, Kardas.

Wilga decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. The following players took the field: Moczydłowski - Huda, Marcinowski, Detorakis, Kudelko - Wojtyna, Wolak, Vilasis, Sara - Üge, Bystrowski.

Pressing was the tactic of the day for Wilga. Some great play up the middle by Golkowice led to a chance for F. Powązka to score after 12 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave I. Velkov from Golkowice a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 21 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! They were singing the praises of J. Kardas 24 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Golkowice. With 38 minutes played, Golkowice's S. Bruhns almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. Golkowice had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

With 47 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, S. Bruhns needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. After 55 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and J. Kardas gave the Golkowice supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 2 - 0. Confident in their lead, Golkowice's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Wilga's L. Kudelko was shown a yellow card after 64 minutes for slicing down an opponent. After 66 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Wilga found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to solid. A great save by keeper W. Moczydłowski after 81 minutes kept the visitors in the game after J. Kardas struck from the left with a real cannonball. Good work by the Wilga defensive line after 82 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found K. Huda alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. D. Dubois of Golkowice received a yellow card after 83 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Golkowice had to make a substitution after 83 minutes. F. Marcolini limped off the field and was replaced by J. Smoljo. Wilga's ability to press all over the field frequently paid dividends. Golkowice's M. Mulczyński somehow missed a penalty 88 minutes into the match, much to the crowd's displeasure. Golkowice claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

J. Kardas performed admirably for Golkowice. On the other hand, J. Smoljo's play was disheartening. Most important Wilga player was K. Huda. G. Vilasis on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 0.
