22-07-2012 11.10
Dark skies made the crowd of 10746 at
KKS POZNAŃ Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Luis Acevedo was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Albano Mendieta and
Gustavo Pereira.
Everyone was excited about the upcoming
Wielkopolskie derby and the crowd was divided evenly.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for POZNAŃ.
Lineup: Maciejewski - Kostra, Ruszkowski, Froehlich, Dołba - Sarniak, Junko, Gorol, Rzeszutek - Łazęcki, Potocki.

After 22 minutes of play,
M. Łazęcki gave the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right.
POZNAŃ's
L. Gorol had an excellent opportunity after 30 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles!
32 minutes in, POZNAŃ's
L. Gorol received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
A loud groan was heard from the fans of Ociaz, as
K. Jakieła left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match.
C. Strzelczak took his place on the field.
1 - 0 was the halftime score.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by POZNAŃ, with 66 percent of the ball.
Some things can only be learned through experience, and

80 minutes into the game, POZNAŃ were awarded a penalty that
P. Kostra turned into 2 - 0 without a problem.
Confident in their lead, POZNAŃ's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
M. Stelmaszyński could've grabbed a goal for Ociaz 85 minutes in when he got a pass from the left putting him free of the home side's defence, but he was unable to take advantage of the situation.
POZNAŃ's
B. Dołba was shown a yellow card after 86 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
Coming from the right,
B. Dołba almost managed to score another goal for POZNAŃ, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper.
Ociaz's
E. Łączak got himself booked for a foul.
Ociaz's
J. Meszyński placed the ball right at his teammate's feet after a corner, but
S. Rozum couldn't finish.
After 89 minutes, POZNAŃ sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached
B. Rzeszutek, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 3 - 0.
POZNAŃ had most of the ball, with 63 percent of possession.
POZNAŃ's top performer was clearly
D. Junko.
On the other hand,
D. Maciejewski's play was disheartening.
The most dominating Ociaz player was without a doubt
G. Rabinovich.
J. Adamek turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 3 - 0.
