previous 1/4 next 3/4  RTS 3 - 0 Summer (387973137)

Clouds darkened the skies at SAN SIRO FC as 12000 spectators turned up for the match. Jost Kösker was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Olivier Kattmann and Luca Muma. RTS tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. Starters: Uss - Papierzyński, Przyklęk, Derlatka, Kowalczuk - Szczypka, Lasecki, Sieniek, Domarus - Rajwa, Foit.

Summer had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players took the field: Chałupka - Daniec, Nożewski, Ordon, Wojtaszyk - Lippe, Wichowski, Rapalski, Grądys - Białynicki, Ślusarski.

The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when H. Ślusarski was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 16 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead! After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, I. Białynicki got himself booked. The manager of Summer was not happy. After 21 minutes, RTS's S. Przyklęk fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! After 22 minutes, T. Szczypka came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving RTS the lead. RTS's E. Domarus was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 27 minutes. After 28 minutes, RTS's J. Papierzyński found the back of the goal with a beautiful free kick. 2 - 0. F. Rapalski behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 30 minutes as he gave the ball away to H. Lasecki. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. The crowd roared its approval when G. Uss somehow managed to block a shot which seemed to be a certain goal by Summer's M. Lippe 35 minutes into the game. It was 2 - 0 at the break. RTS had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

The home side's R. Foit came close to extending the lead 65 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but W. Chałupka managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. RTS put themselves up 3 - 0 when R. Foit broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. RTS enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

A. Sieniek performed admirably for RTS. However, M. Derlatka made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Summer player was without a doubt M. Lippe. On the other hand, W. Chałupka's play was disheartening. The match ends 3 - 0.
